Rustic Stable / Barn
| The approach to the property is
lined with mature junipers with peek-a-boo views of the Cimarron Range to the east.
Shortly after entering the ranch gate, the barn comes into view with the corrals, pasture,
ponds and surrounding peaks completing the picture. Just past the barn is a short drive to
the Girls' Lodge, a two bedroom, two and one half private guest house which resembles a
historic dry-stack stone cabin. With a woodburning fireplace in each suite as well as in
the living room, the Girls' Lodge is an exquisitely inviting guest quarters. An unfinished
one bedroom apartment exists above the Lodge. |

| The drive to the Main House and
the Boys' Lodge gently switch-backs to rise above the pastures and ponds below. The level
building site chosen for the Main House creates an open lawn between the expansive home
and the Boys' Lodge which frames the views to the south at the top of the drive. The home
itself is a hand-hewn square log and stone structure with a wide flagstone walk
approaching the ten foot tall, mesquite front door. Above the entry, a solid bronze Indian
bust in full headress is centered in a large arched window to greet visitors. The scale of
the home immediately becomes apparent in the foyer which opens directly into the great
room as well as to a wine vault and the stairs, lined with Navajo rugs, which lead to the
two guest suites, the family room, bunk room and nanny's room below. |

| The great room includes living
and dining areas each with an enormous wood burning, two and a half story, stone
fireplace. The flooring is random width mesquite with in-floor radiant heat. A wall of two
story windows overlooks the pasture and the Courthouse Mountain Range to the east. The
living room furniture is massive in scale to match its environment. |

Guest Suites
| The guest suites, family room
and bunk room on the lower level each open onto a flagstone terrace above the stone,
multi-level pool. The baths include tumbled marble flooring, counter tops and shower
walls. A nanny's room adjoins the bunk room. A big screen t.v. and fireplace are the focal
points for the family room which also includes a wet bar, game table and adjoining powder
room. The commercial grade laundry
room is easily accessible from the family room and the stairs to the upper floor. It has a
Maytag washer and dryer as well as a commercial Speed Queen washer and dryer and ample
room for folding and sorting laundry. The utility room houses three Weil McLain Gold
boilers, the Vacu-Maid central vacuum system and the Environmental Water Systems water
filtration equipment. There are five 1,000 gallon propane storage tanks located on the
property. |
| Finally, the Boys' Lodge is a
two bedroom, three bath guest house with a fireplace, space for a pool table in the great
room. The views of the Sneffels Range are framed in an arched window which mirrors the
window in the master suite of the Main House. The baths have flagstone flooring, counter
tops and shower surrounds. The south bedroom on the lower level has a walk-out flagstone
terrace for sunset viewing. The
Little Papoose is a sculptured work of collectable art which must be seen to be
appreciated. Shown by appointment only. Price and terms available upon request. . |
