Hole #3 - 397 yard Par 4
The tees on the third hole are perched above the lake. The hole becomes a dogleg right because the bunker protects the straight-line to the green. With a favoring wind, this hole is nearly driveable from the front tee, or one can play it as a strategic lay-up hole. Positioned to the back right and visible from only the left side of the fairway, the green is angled to receive an approach from the left side of the fairway close to the lake.

Hole #12 - 490 yard Par 4/5
A stern test as a par 4, reachable in two as a par 5 like #8, but much more dangerous. Willow Creek hugs the left side of the fairway and crosses through to the right past the tee shot. The second shot drops off dramatically to Willow Creek 30 feet below. The green is perched above this large drop, tempting the golfer to carry over it or to prudently lay up shorter. This is the toughest hole on the back nine.
Hole #18 - 450 yard Par 4
The eighteenth at Maroon Creek is one of the toughest holes on the course. The tee shot must skirt Willow Creek to reduce the length of the second shot on this long par 4. The prevailing wind will be against the golfer. Par will be a good score and a birdie requires a heroic approach over the water. The green is surrounded by a dense forest of evergreen, creating a beautiful and climactic setting. Par here feels like birdie.
