An important part of the Partners' operating
philosophy is that the Roaring Fork Club be a gracious, supportive, contributing member of
the Basalt community. The development goal was to get away from one-dimensional golf and
provide a multi-faceted facility that would be fun for members while providing the Basalt
area with a unique amenity. Significant effort has been made to improve the river, raise
funds for wildlife and environmental projects, initiate a caddie program and support local
charities.
In cooperation with the Town of Basalt, The Roaring Fork Club has created a non-profit
organization called the Roaring Fork Conservancy whose primary mission is to improve and
preserve the natural environment of the RFC's property and the recreational areas in and
near the Town of Basalt. Initial emphasis is being placed on the Roaring Fork and Frying
Pan Rivers and the habitat for fish and other wildlife. The RFC contributes 1/2 % of all
the cabins gross sales to the Conservancy.
