Strategic golfers will appreciate this lovely and challenging Nicklaus Signature Course,
which provides three distinct experiences: the panoramic ranchlands spreading out in front
of the Members' Lodge, the wooded corridors along the Roaring Fork River and Spring Creek,
and the scenic upper benches.
- Hole #5 gives the best feel for the high ranchland. From
the tee overlooking ponds, wildflowers and beautifully sculpted bunkers, golfers can soak
in the sunshine and breathtaking views of the Roaring Fork Valley as it winds its way down
to Glenwood Springs.
- After crossing to the riverside of the course, the terrain
changes considerably to a shady pine and cottonwood landscape. Hole #6 is a short par 4
that plays over the Roaring Fork River to a tight fairway, framed by tall cottonwoods.
Golfers must then play over Spring Creek, which runs in front of the small, tree-lined
green.

- Hole #12, a par 3 situated high above the valley floor,
offers spectacular views of Basalt Mountain and the ridges that rise from the floor of the
Frying Pan River valley. Golfers must navigate one of the 9 trout-laden
ponds that comes into play both in front of and behind the narrow green.

Allowing serenity to overtake the worries of the day is easier at a place where the water
flows clearly, the fish rise and the ever-changing nature of the river becomes a mirror
for life's journey. Fishing at the Roaring Fork Club is an angler's nirvana. With one mile
of the Roaring Fork River's gold medal waters, Spring Creek, 9 well-stocked ponds and the
nearby Frying Pan River, there are plenty of uncrowded fishing venues from which to
choose. Beginners and experts alike will find a place to hone their intuition and skills.
| The Roaring Fork Club is designed with a
heartfelt purpose in mindto encourage wiser, older generations to share their
passion, traditions and skills in the unhurried quiet of the day. The bountifully stocked
trout ponds create an ideal place for children to learn the art of angling from family and
friends, or from the professional guides at the Club. |
