with the design and construction of numerous courses now ranked in the Top 100 in the
United States. His International designs include courses in Spain, Canada, Australia,
Japan and Scotland. |

With more than 35 years of
experience and 50 golf courses to his credit, Morrish is one of the most well respected
golf course designers in the world. In Arizona, he is responsible for a number of the
Grand Canyon State's nationally recognized courses including Forest Highlands and Troon
Golf and Country and Club, both of which have been rated among the top 100 courses in the
world. Other noted Arizona courses include The Boulders, TPC Scottsdale and The Rim Club.
Morrish began his career in 1964 when he
served a four year apprenticeship with Robert Trent Jones, and two years with George
Fazio, father of noted Arizona architect Tom Fazio. In 1972, he joined Jack Nicklaus'
design support firm, working on all the Nicklaus golf courses built through 1982,
including Desert Highlands in Scottsdale, which hosted the first two Skins Games in 1983
and 1984. |


TODD HUIZINGA
DIRECTOR OF GOLF THE STONE CANYON CLUB
As
director of golf at Stone Canyon, Todd Huizinga is responsible for ensuring the ultimate
golf experience for members and their guests. He stays current on developments in the
world of golf and manages all day-to-day operations, ranging from golf instruction to
member services. In addition, he represents the club externally, often making speaking
engagements at educational and civic functions.
Huizinga
previously was the head golf professional at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club,
a private club which includes two Jack Nicklaus courses, in Superstition Mountain, Ariz.
In 1998, he was
district director for the Southwest Section PGA Junior Tour. In 1997, he was a team member
of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Financial Task Force and Carter Cup Team.
In 1996, he was the assistant professional of the year and championship runner-up
for the Rocky Mountain Section PGA. He was also a contestant in the PGA of America
National Club Professional Championship.
Graduating from
Boise State University in 1993 with a degree in communications, Huizinga resides in Oro
Valley, Ariz. with his wife and two children. |
